Willow is six years old. She has been receiving occupational therapy from the Washington Elks Therapy Program for about a year and a half. Together, we work on developing her fine motor strength, coordination, and balance. This helps Willow keep up with meeting her developmental milestones.
She keeps me laughing, she keeps me on my toes, and she never fails to bring a smile to my face. At every session, I bring my therapy toys, and Willow brings her imagination.
Willow’s family was actually referred to the program by a Washington State Elks member out in the community. During a family outing, a member of the local Elks lodge noticed Willow with her grandmother, and approached them to let them know about the program. When they got back home, Willow’s grandmother called to make the referral and they were directed to me. I’ve been very fortunate to work with Willow and her family, it has been a joy getting to know them.
Thank you to the generous members and friends of the Washington State Elks Association!
