Saturday evening at our upcoming Quarterly Business Sessions will bring a new opportunity to connect, celebrate, and share the story of the Washington Elks. We are opening our doors to community leaders whose service, leadership, and commitment to the people of Washington reflect the values we strive to uphold.
Civic, government, and military leaders from Island and Skagit counties will be invited to join Elks members from throughout Washington for an evening of dinner, conversation, and recognition. These guests play important roles in the communities we serve, and we believe meaningful partnerships begin by getting to know one another.
Throughout the evening, guests will hear stories about several of our charitable programs and the people whose lives they touch. We will also recognize lodges and individuals whose dedication has strengthened communities across our state. These stories and achievements will help illustrate what it means to be an Elk—and how local volunteers turn compassion into action.
For our members, this is also an opportunity to see our collective impact through fresh eyes. The work we do in our lodges may feel familiar to us, but to someone learning about the Elks for the first time, it can open the door to new possibilities. Sharing a meal gives us time to listen, ask questions, and discover common interests with others who care deeply about their communities.
This event is not a fundraiser, nor is it intended to advance a political or organizational agenda. It is a celebration of community service, volunteerism, and the partnerships that make Washington stronger. Our guests are being invited because of the work they do and the perspective they bring to the table.
By the end of the evening, we hope everyone will have a clearer understanding of who the Washington Elks are, what we do, and the difference our local lodges make every day. Just as importantly, we hope our members will learn more about the challenges and opportunities our invited guests see in their communities and explore ways we can work together in service to our neighbors.
When people who care about their communities come together, a simple dinner can become the start of something meaningful.
