Drug Awareness

The Elks National Drug Awareness Program is the largest volunteer drug awareness initiative in the United States.

The Elks are committed to eliminating the use and abuse of illegal drugs by all members of society and believe that to ensure a bright future for our country, it is essential that our children be raised in a drug-free environment.

Elks for Children's Hospital

The Elks for Children’s Hospital partnership between Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Washington State Elks Association began in 1926 and still continues today. The bond of these two entities and the care of the Elks has given hope to children in our region for more than 98 years.

The Elks for Children’s Hospital Committee is a standing committee of WSEA that has contributed more than $1 million to Seattle Children’s Hospital. We are listed as a “Hero for Hope” and included in the Rock Wall at Seattle Children’s main campus.

100% of funds raised through the Elks for Children’s Hospital program are donated to Seattle Children’s and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ uncompensated care program. No child is ever turned away for treatment because of lack of funds.

The mission of the Elks National Foundation is to help Elks build stronger communities. We fulfill this pledge by investing in communities where Elks live and work. We help youth develop lifelong skills, send students to college, meet the needs of today's veterans, support the charitable work of the state Elks associations, and fund projects that improve the quality of life in local Elks communities.

EZ Child ID

The Washington State Elks Association is a sponsor of EZ Child ID. This digital fingerprinting child identification system aids in the reporting time if a child is abducted. The key to recovering abducted children is quick action by parents and law enforcement. There is no other system in the country as comprehensive as EZ Child ID.
