The Vancouver Elks Lodge #823 gave $2,000 to the Vancouver VA Fisher House. The lodge was able to do this through the efforts of two wonderful members who applied for and received the Elks National Foundation Freedom Grant.

The donated funds were used to improve the Fisher House guests’ needs related to COVID-19 and helping keep their guests feel comfortable and safe. The lodge also purchased $500 in hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies and provided hygiene products for individuals.

The Fisher House enables family members to be close to their loved one during hospitalization by providing comfortable lodging, in a beautiful and relaxing setting in Vancouver, Washington. There is no charge for families staying at the Fisher House.
