Finishing strong can jump start a new Elks year
…When your Lodge Secretary sends out dues notices, Exalted Rulers should consider including a letter addressing the “State of the Lodge.” List your Lodge’s accomplishments during the previous 12 months, and include the many hours you’ve donated to your community. Introduce incoming Lodge Officers and inform them of your scheduled Installation date. Outline the challenges the new Elks year will bring. Include a “fixed cost” report that details the operational expenses of your Lodge. This kind of open communication with Members helps them understand how dues are spent, and makes them feel good about supporting those in need of assistance…
