Keynote Speaker – Captain Casey McManus, Captain/Owner, F/V
Cornelia Marie. As seen on the Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch

As an Eagle Scout, Captain Casey McManus has spent a lifetime exploring and pursuing his passion for adventure. The Scouting program has exposed him to various outdoor activities which ultimately inspired him to follow his dreams of earning a living as a commercial fisherman. Casey has spent the last two decades in the commercial fishing industry. As a third-generation fisherman, Casey started gillnetting with his father at just 5 years old. By 14 years old he was fishing commercially and by the age of 29, Casey had his Master’s license. In 2013, Casey took over as the Captain of the F/V Cornelia Marie. He later became part owner. Casey has spent the last 4 years at the helm of the Cornelia Marie fishing for King, Opilio and Bairdi Crab. He also runs the boat for salmon tendering in the summers. As part owner, Casey is heavily involved in all aspects of keeping the vessel fishing year-round. Casey is best known as one of the stars of the Discovery Channel’s hit show, Deadliest Catch, which documents the real life stories of Alaskan Crab fishermen. Casey spends his off-camera time appearing at sponsored events, speaking engagements, fan meet and greets, and charitable organizations.

Our goal: This is a complementary event, with a request for your financial support of local Scouting’s character building programs. We are working to raise $5,000 to benefit local Scouting. Join us this #GivingTuesday and help us continue to deliver on the promise of Scouting.
